The Purposeful Universe is a podcast and video project by The Magis Center and funded by the John Templeton Foundation. The Purposeful Universe aims to discover and present the abundant order in nature that funnels biological systems toward increasing levels of sophistication, suggesting that human life is the purposeful outcome of a complex, ordered system, indicating the existence of an intelligent Creator.
In this episode, Dan Kuebler tells us about his journey to becoming a biologist, his interest in the big questions of life, and the role of science in discovering purpose. One topic Dan has extensively studied and written about is evolution, especially the profound order in the molecular processes that allows evolution to work.
Beyond the biology classroom, Dan and Catherine discuss several current events related to biology and purpose, including babies born from more than two people’s DNA and advancing technologies that can identify an individual’s DNA virtually out of thin air.
Next on The Purposeful Lab, we’ll be interviewing Harvard Professor Dr. Karin Öberg. Subscribe to The Purposeful Universe Youtube channel to be notified when Episode 2 is released!
