Memorial of Saint Clare, Virgin

Where do we come from? Where are we going? We can try to answer the first question by talking about our hometown, our parents, our family history. We can try to answer the second by speaking about our desires, hopes and dreams. While these are important, Christ invites us to view our one precious life from a much broader perspective, inviting us to harken back to that uncreated Love that willed us into being from the dawn of time. Our lives, a result of immeasurable love and sacrifice throughout the ages. Our lives, inevitably marked by pain and brokenness that predate our existence.

"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Walking with Christ is letting go of a very limited sense of what our life is, and opening ourselves up to basking in the Love that willed us into being, a Love that offers us healing and that offers us a mission, a Love that wishes that we be united with it forever. There we will find our life, life in abundance.
