And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding, he said to him, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." And no one dared to ask him any more questions.
Perhaps it’s happened to you that someone gives you a piece of information that is exciting but also a bit scary that it leaves you speechless and incapable, at least for a few seconds, of formulating a response. Could this really be true? What will it actually mean for me? How will I have to change because of it?
What if you were there present in front of Jesus? What question might you want to ask? Maybe, “What does this Kingdom look like?” or “Considering the particularities of my life today, what can I do today to draw nearer to this Kingdom?”
