Tuesday in the Octave of Easter
With what joy Mary must have made her way to the disciples to announce the Good News: “I have seen the Lord.” Mary, who was at the depths of sorrow and despair crying in front of an empty tomb is met by the Risen Lord, turning her pain into gladness.
The relationship which Mary believed had been ended by death is far from over. It is but the beginning of a more abundant relationship of love in which we share with Christ the same Father and the same God. Like Mary, we are called to go out and announce this Good News with everyone we encounter.
