Saturday of the Thirty-third Week in Ordinary Time
Ultimately, what does God’s judgement call us to do? Bear witness. The divine light that shines upon us leads us to repent of our works of darkness, and to marvel at the beauty of God’s radiance. However, as God makes clear what He judges to be good and what He judges to be evil, we are moved to proclaim the same. This is what Moses and the prophets did. This is what Paul and the apostles did. This is what we hear of the two witnesses doing as John looked on. Let us ask for the grace to bear witness to what God has spoken, so that we and others may enter into the life offered us by the God of the living.
